NYS Alumni Makes History: Nominated Among DIAR Top 100 Taifa Organizations.

In a remarkable milestone for the National Youth Service Alumni (NYS Alumni), the organization has been officially nominated among the inaugural DIAR Top 100 Taifa Organizations in the 8th Edition of the Diversity & Inclusion Awards & Recognition (DIAR Awards). This prestigious national recognition celebrates institutions that demonstrate exceptional leadership, courage, and sustained impact in Inclusion, Equity, Impact, and Sustainability.

This nomination is more than just an accolade — it positions NYS Alumni among Kenya’s most influential institutions, spanning public and private sectors, State Corporations, MDAs and SAGAs, County Governments, Academia, Civil Society, and Development Partners. It reflects the Alumni’s enduring contribution to national development and its commitment to shaping Kenya’s present and future.

The DIAR 8th Edition Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony, where the final rankings of the Top 100 Taifa Organizations will be revealed, is set to take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Tsavo Ballroom, Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi, starting at 5:30 PM. The Gala promises a dignified gathering of Kenya’s leading policymakers, executives, and impact champions, celebrating institutions that are not just successful, but truly significant.

This historic achievement would not have been possible without the exceptional leadership of the NYS Alumni Patron, Deputy Commandant General Nicholas Juma Makokha, and the entire National Executive Committee (NEC). Their vision, dedication, and commitment to excellence have steered the Alumni to this landmark recognition, setting a standard for leadership and service in Kenya.

On behalf of all stakeholders, we extend heartfelt congratulations to NYS Alumni for this milestone. This nomination is a testament to the Alumni’s unwavering commitment to inclusion, equity, and sustainable impact across the nation. It is a proud moment that underscores the organization’s influence, significance, and continued promise for generations to come.

Congratulations to the NYS Alumni leadership, members, and partners — this recognition is a celebration of your collective dedication, resilience, and outstanding service to Kenya.
