181 Vacancies for Lecturers and Technical Instructors advertised by The National Youth Service

The National Youth Service (NYS) has officially announced the recruitment of Technical Instructors III (CSG 12, JG ‘H’), Lecturer III (CSG 11, JG ‘J’), and Lecturer I (CSG 10, JG ‘K’). The recruitment process, scheduled for September 2025, presents a golden opportunity for qualified Kenyans, particularly NYS alumni, to secure rewarding careers within the service.

The positions, spread across a wide range of technical and academic disciplines, include 130 vacancies for Technical Instructors, 13 vacancies for Lecturer III, and 5 vacancies for Lecturer I. These openings cover diverse fields such as Accounting, Agriculture, Automotive Engineering, Fashion Design, Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Commerce, Information Technology, Mathematics, Supply Chain, and more.

Successful candidates will enjoy attractive remuneration packages under civil service terms, including medical cover under the SHA Medical scheme for civil servants, commuter and house allowances, and permanent and pensionable terms of service.

According to the announcement, NYS is seeking individuals who are not only academically qualified but also ready to contribute to national development through training and mentorship of the next generation of service men and women.

Applicants must hold relevant diplomas or degrees from recognized institutions and fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity.

How to Apply

Applicants who are interested and meet the above requirements should complete the Application for Employment Form-PSC.2 (Revised 2016) and submit in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the title of the position applied for. The application should be accompanied by detailed curriculum vitae, certified copies of academic certificates, testimonials, and a copy of the national identity card or passport.

The applications should reach the undersigned not later than 1st September, 2025.
