NYS Alumni National Executive Committee Welcomes Graduating Class of NYS Engineering Institute.
Earlier today, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the NYS Alumni , led by the Patron Deputy Commandant General Nicholas J. Makokha, together with Chairperson Mr. John Githinji, joined the discharging class of the NYS Engineering Institute in a vibrant and memorable graduation ceremony. In a powerful and inspiring address, the Patron urged the graduates to go forth as true ambassadors of the Service, upholding the NYS values of discipline, patriotism, and national responsibility. Under his leadership, the NEC officially welcomed the graduates into the NYS Alumni fraternity, signifying their proud transition from service trainees to full alumni status. The event was graciously hosted by Commanding Officer NYSEI SACG, Madam Jane Kiogora, who applauded the graduates for their discipline, perseverance, and unwavering commitment throughout their journey. Also in attendance were numerous distinguished alumni, including Warrant Officer II Godfrey Mwangi, currently serving at Lanet Barracks, Kenya Defence Forces, from Coy 1985, and Engineer Paul Langat, from KQ Coy 2002, now serving with Kenya Airways, among others—demonstrating the strength, legacy, and continued unity of the NYS alumni community across generations. Parents and guardians present expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Commandant General and the Government of Kenya for the role NYS has played in shaping the future of their children and giving them the tools to thrive in society. The day was marked with joy, pride, and reflection, serving as a true celebration of achievement, resilience,y and the unbreakable NYS spirit that continues to shape Kenya’s future leaders.
